Santee Cooper Continues to Follow Drought Contingency Plan

Due to an ongoing statewide drought, water levels in Lake Marion and Lake Moultrie have stayed below normal operating ranges for over a month, and Santee Cooper is continuing to follow our Drought Contingency Plan. St. Stephen Hydro Station operations are being reduced to help maintain lake water levels. Other utility operations are not changed at this time, and no immediate impacts are expected for nearby communities or public lake access. We continue to monitor water levels and will provide updates as drought conditions change.
