Camp Hall Earns No. 1 Industrial Park Honor for Second Consecutive Year

MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – Camp Hall Commerce Park has once again been named the No. 1 industrial park in the nation by Business Facilities Magazine, marking the second consecutive year the park has earned the top honor. The recognition comes as part of the magazine’s annual assessment of economic development and location leaders. Camp Hall, which is being developed by Santee Cooper, has appeared in the magazine’s Top 10 for seven years in a row.

Camp Hall Commerce Park offers unmatched connectivity to major highways, rail lines and the Port of Charleston. The park is home to a growing list of advanced manufacturing, logistics and technology companies, supported by robust infrastructure and a strong focus on workforce development.

A 2024 comprehensive impact study estimates Camp Hall’s annual economic impact at $3.8 billion statewide and $3.4 billion within the Charleston tri-county region. Once the full build-out of the park is complete, the study projects Camp Hall will contribute $7.9 billion annually to South Carolina’s economy and $7.3 billion within the tri-county area.

The park’s growing roster of major tenants includes Volvo Car USA, which established its first North American manufacturing facility at Camp Hall in 2018 and has since expanded its operations within the park. Redwood Materials, an advanced recycler of anode and cathode battery components, announced a $3.5 billion project in 2022.

Camp Hall is unique in its integration of industrial growth with environmental preservation, combining “man, nature and machine.” Sixty-five percent of the entire site is preserved land dedicated to natural growth, wildlife habitats and features designed to protect and enhance the coastal South Carolina ecosystem.

Camp Hall’s Avian Commons serves as a central hub where both the local workforce and communities can connect, access daily services and enjoy recreation. The district features amenities such as basketball and pickleball courts, a disc golf course, fitness equipment, a food truck court, and Wi-Fi-connected gathering spaces. Camp Hall’s readiness with water, power, sewer, and fiber infrastructure helped it earn the Palmetto Site designation from the South Carolina Department of Commerce. The designation confirms the property has undergone a comprehensive analysis to enhance its marketability to prospective industry partners.
