Celebrate The Season Raises $100,000 for Local Charities
Seeking Sponsors for 2026
MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – Even though the holidays are months behind us, Celebrate The Season’s spirit of giving carries on into the summer with a special “Christmas in July” call for sponsors.
Santee Cooper is excited to announce that the 2025 Holiday Lights Driving Tour and festival raised $100,000, which was donated to local charities. Thanks to the ongoing support from Berkeley Electric Cooperative, Santee Cooper, sponsors, volunteers and thousands of visitors, Celebrate The Season has contributed more than $1.4 million to our community over the past 15 years.
“Celebrate The Season keeps giving long after the holidays are over,” said Jimmy Staton, Santee Cooper President and CEO. “The funds we raised last year will deliver meaningful, ongoing help to the local charities that support our neighbors who need it most.”
Santee Cooper distributed the proceeds to previously designated local charities, which include:
- $33,633.76 to Trident United Way.
- $13,453.50 to the Town of Moncks Corner Miracle Field Project.
- $13,453.50 to Coastal Community Foundation.
- $6,726.75 to the Berkeley County Museum and Heritage Center.
- $6,784.57 each to the Home Community Fund, the Lowcountry Orphan Relief, the Kay Phillips Child Advocacy Center, the Quixote Foundation and Water Mission.
Sante Cooper is already planning for an even brighter Celebrate The Season in 2026. With “Christmas in July,” we invite local businesses, organizations and community leaders to join the 46 existing sponsors for the 2026 event later this year. Sponsor support is critical in expanding this event’s charitable reach.
